Our Story

Lynn and Alison opened their first nursery in Charmouth in September 2002. In February 2005 we opened our second nursery in Axminster, Devon, which is registered to take 50 children. Due to a fall in numbers of children in the Charmouth area, and an increase in demand in Axminster, Lynn and Alison decided to close their Charmouth nursery and concentrate on Axminster, which continues to go from strength to strength.

Axminster is a great location for Tick Tocks, we moved into our new purposely built building at the beginning of October 2017. The building was specifically designed with the children in mind. We have a baby and toddler room for the children to explore, this room has its own craft area, bathroom and two sleep rooms. A great new addition to our nursery is the sensory room, for all the children to enjoy and relax in. 

We have a large pre-school room giving the children many learning opportunities, this room also has its own craft area and bathroom. We have a garden which is accessible from each of the rooms with covered areas for all year round play. We also have an indoor soft play area for the children.

There will be a late collection charge of £5 for every 15 minutes there after.

Funded Sessions

Funded session (morning/afternoon) - £7.50 per session to include snack, nappies and enhanced provision  
Whole day - £19 per day to include snack, lunch and nappies.
Hours outside of the funded entitlement will be charged at the hourly/session/daily rate whichever may apply.

Funded 3 & 4 Year Old

9am - 3pm - £12.50 to include all consumables, lunch and snack. 
9am - 12pm session - £5.50 to include all consumables and snack.
8.30am - 5pm - £19 to include all consumables, lunch and snacks  

Prices With No Funding

Any additional hours will be charged at an hourly rate of £8.

Early Years Entitlement Funding

As a setting we offer over and above the basic requirements laid out in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We Pride ourselves in the high standards of care and learning opportunities that we provide for the children. We have a very dedicated team of Staff, some of whom have been with us since we opened in 2002, whilst others have joined us along the way. The staff are always refreshing their knowledge by completing relevant childcare courses, allowing them to keep current and to share their knowledge with the children.

The funding covers the basic core elements, but does not cover Food, Consumables, and the Extra Activities that we as a nursery provide. You will find more information regarding the fee's with and without the funding, along with more details on what is, and is not covered by the funding. you can also read how the funding is used throughout the week/year.

ELF2 - Early Learning for Two Year Olds

This can be used between the hours of 9am – 3pm term time only.

Booking Your Child into Tick Tocks

If you would like to book your child into Tick Tocks, please complete our Waiting List and Booking Form.
Once we are able to allocate you a place we would require the first months fee's in advance as a deposit. This is non-refundable should you cancel your space.
