Our Staff

All the staff are dedicated to providing a happy, safe and secure environment and help to maintain high standards of care by regularly attending training courses such as Safe Guarding and EYFS.

All staff have been checked with the Disclosure and Baring Service.

Lynn - Managing Director & SENCO
Lynn has gained lots of childcare experience through being a Childminder and a Mum of 2 She has her level 4 in Early Years Childcare and Education and has completed courses in Health and Safety/Risk Assessment, Safeguarding Children, Behaviour Management, First Aid, SEND, and Foundation Stage Planning. Lynn shares the role of Sendco for our setting.

Alison - Managing Director & Deputy Safeguarding Officer
Alison gained previous childcare experience through Nannying and is also a mother of 5. She has gained her Level 4 in Early Years Childcare and Education and has completed courses in Safeguarding, Behaviour Management, Food Hygiene and First Aid.

Sarah - Manager, SENDCO & Deputy Safeguarding Lead
Sarah has worked for Tick Tocks since we first opened in Charmouth in September 2002, Sarah is qualified to Level 3 in Early Years and Level 3 SEN Coordinator. She is a mother of three children. Sarah has gained a wealth of experience over the last 18 years and has particular expertise with in the EYFS framework. Sarah has also completed courses in First Aid, Behaviour Management, Safe Guarding Children, Observation Assessment and Planning, Food Hygiene, Letters and Sounds and Risk Assessment.

Dawn - Early Years Educator
Dawn first started working for us in our Charmouth Nursery before moving to Dorchester for a while. When Dawn returned back to this area she returned to work for us in Axminster. Dawn has her Level 3 in Early Years and has completed courses in Behaviour Management, Safeguarding and First Aid. Dawn works across the nursery with all age groups.

Kerstin - Early Years Educator
​Kerstin joined us in July 2010 and first started working in our Charmouth Nursery. She has gained lots of experience working in nurseries in Germany and now lives in the Uk and is a Mum to 1. Kerstin mainly works within our Pre-school room with children 2-4 years. She is qualified to Level 3 in Early Years and has completed courses in Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, First Aid, Communication, Behaviour Management and Nappy to Potty.

Rhiannon - Early Years Educator, Preschool Leader & SENDCO
​Rhiannon first joined our nursery as a trainee completing her Level 3 in Early Years. She then moved onto become a Health Care Assistant at Dorset County Hospital. Rhiannon, now a mum herself, returned to work with us here at Tick Tocks several years ago. Rhiannon is our Pre- school lead as well as SENDCO for this age group. Rhiannon has completed several relevant courses including, Safeguarding, First Aid, Autism Awareness, SEND.

Izzy - Early Years Educator
​Izzy first joined us here at Tick Tocks in October 2017 when she started as an apprentice studying her level 2 in early years. Izzy went on to complete her level 3 in 2020. Izzy now works full time in our Baby and Toddler room, growing in confidence Izzy is now a very competent member of our team Izzy has completed courses in First Aid, Safeguarding, Nappy to Potty and Food Hygiene.

Gaynor - Early Years Educator
​​Gaynor previously worked in a preschool close to Axminster and has lots of experience working with preschool children. Gaynor came to Tick Tocks in January 2018 and has been an asset to our Pre-school. Gaynor is a Mum of 2, she has her Level 3 in Early Years and has been on lots of courses to keep her knowledge of Early Years up to date.

Larissa - Early Years Practitioner
Larissa started with us in September 2023 and completed her level 2 in Early Years in
October 2024. Larissa has also completed her safeguarding training and First Aid.

Beth - Nursery Assistant
Beth has returned to work for us due to our numbers increasing. Beth mainly works in the baby and toddler room. Beth is a Mum herself and knows the importance of creating a safe and caring environment for the children. Beth is currently undertaking her Level 2 in Early Years, she has also completed courses in Safeguarding, First Aid as well as other relevant child care courses.

Emily - Early Years Educator
Emily first joined us on a year long college placement whilst she was gaining her qualification in Early Years. Once this was completed Emily joined us as a part time member of staff. Emily mainly works in our Baby and Toddler room, however Emily works confidently in both rooms. Emily is also a Gymnastics coach at a local Gymnastics club.
